Let me tell you an interesting story about temper. My own.
We were poor. We needed a 2-qt. saucepan. I bought the cheapest aluminum thing I could find (probably in a grocery store).
After a few days it sprang a leak.
I was so mad, I took it out to my 201 sq.-ft garage studio and put it on my workbench, upside down. Then I took a claw hammer to the bottom of it. A couple of good whacks satisfied me, one cutting through the metal.
So then I felt crappy and guilty for letting my temper get the better of me, so I decided that I would salvage this violent deed by making Art out of the ruined sauce pan.
So I began an oil painting of it, focusing on the INSIDE of the pan, without showing the edges. I added lots of greens and blues and reds and yellows to the reflections of the aluminum. Without the edges showing, the pot looked like an abstract painting.
