The third eye chakra, is also known as the ‘ajna’ chakra. This is the sixth chakra, but being my favorite, it gets depicted first The gift of this chakra is seeing- both inner and outer worlds. It’s located at the base of the nose, between the brows. And purple is it’s color. When awakened, Third eye chakra, makes you one with the universe. Your inner energy becomes a part of the cosmos. It’s like holding the whole world and it’s mysteries, in the palm of your hand. In this art, the goddess is holding the planets and blessing them. An open sixth chakra can enable clairvoyance, telepathy, expanded imagination, and visualization. Communication with spirits is possible. There are ethereal beings around the goddess in my art. Shakti is the associated goddess... in my art, she is symbolized by the trishul, the snake coiled around her and the lion. She has six arms and is also holding the the third eye charka symbol in one hand. She is seated on a lotus. The lotus represents the highest level of consciousness when in search for enlightenment and purity. In spiritual literature from many sources, the lotus is a symbol for the macrocosm and the microcosm, the universe and man.
