This painting represents my response after the Covid-19 pandemic, where the fragility of life resonated. There is a lemon in the painting. The remains of carbonized lemons have been found in the ruins of Pompeii the city destroyed by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 AD. Life continues.
