HYPER-REALISM / PORTRAITS. Larger scale of this picture identify the relationships
correlates the image with advertising or with political posters. The traditional technique, the classical museum coloring and disregard the standards of photography casts doubt on the commitment to the canons of popular culture.
Early hyper-realistic painting - a portrait of Sasha Chulikov, photographer of Konstantinovskaya Wool factory, Domodedovo. Painting were displayed at the traveling exhibition of artists of the Moscow region in 1986 and the All-Union youth exhibition in March 1987 in the Moscow Central Exhibition hall Manege. In 1990, it was included in the album by Alexander Yakimovich "Young artists of the 80's.
When I was picking up this canvas from the Moscow Regional Union after road shows (`peredvizhnaya` exhibition) during 1986, full-time art critic from Regional Artist`s Union asked: "Is your character is smiling, as if his mother-in-law just died?"
