Artwork Description:   Two weeks prior to his death in 1994, Zinovy visited the famed Lubavitch Rabbi Shneersohn in New York City to paint his portrait. The Rabbi blessed Zinovy as an artist for the joy he brings to others with his works. This trip to New York and to his roots in Judaism inspired a whole line of religious pieces. The night prayer depicts the moment of Joy as a man becomes one with god in prayer. You can lie to the world but one embraces all truths in front of the light and in prayer.
