It was inspired by an image from the US Library of Congress Prints and Pictures Department, Panoramic Photographs Collection, in Washington, D. C. The original photograph, a gelatin print, was created and published in 1907 was copyrighted by the Pillsbury Picture Company, but presently has no known restrictions on publication. The Print measures about 22 inches wide by 9 inches high, or 57.150 cm wide by 24.765 cm high. 5The work was hand printed and published by the artist at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
