Artwork Description:

ANGELIC FUSION OF VIOLET SPECTRUM OR CAUSE AND EFFECT OF LIGHT UPON A BLOOD DRINKER. This etching is executed in oil based etching inks on RivesBFK white paper. The printmaking techniques used included aquatint, drypoint, and intaglio. TEN zinc plates were used in this diptych style design the plate edges, as in all of my etchings, are carefully filed to produce clean edges on the print. This work was inspired by Anne Rice and based on a photograph I took in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The work was hand printed by the artist within The Open Etching Studio at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia. The print size is 15.5 inches high x 18.5 inches wide 39.370cm x 46.990cm. Work in sold without a frame or mat and shipped in a box. Shipment coast are not included in the price.
