Artwork Description:

I used ten individual zinc plates, which were all placed on the printing press in a horizontal line. I used this method to achieve the rectangular relief-effect that the individual plates impress into the paper. My etching techniques in this work include intaglio, drypoint, chine colle, and aquatint it is executed in an original mixture of black inks which are oil-based and Charbonnel Brand manufactured in France. The papers used are Rives BFK white also made in France and fuchsia-colored Unryu brand mulberry-bark produced in Thailand. The pyramidal image is etched on ten individual zinc plates that each measure three inches high 7.6 cm by two inches wide 5 cm. A space of ₅⁄₁₆ of one inch separates each plate approximately 1 mm. The paperprint size is 29 inches long x 8 inches high 74 cm by 21 cm framed size varies but is close to 36 inches wide x 12 inches high 91.5 x 30.5 cm. All mats are museum quality. There are three editions of ten prints each each edition is executed in different color inks and mulberry-bark paper overlays. All work is hand done. SOLD WITHOUT A FRAME OR MAT. Print is 29 inches by 7.5 inches. Shipped in box that measures 25 inches high by 5 inches wide by 30 inches long. Packed between two pieces of museum board. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in mat selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, Certificate of Authenticity, and the shipment carton. Mailing and transportation costs are added to the price. Also, only four of these original prints remain for sale.
