White Tara displays serenity and grace. She is sometimes called the mother of all Buddhas and Tara was born out of compassion and represents virtue and enlightenment. According to Buddhist tradition the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara was so touched by human suffering that he wept. His tears of compassion formed a lake in which the lotus sprung up and when the lotus opened, Tara was revealed. Giclee print on canvas wrapped over a wooden frame.
