Italian Arabescato Orobico Rosso, Spanish Negro Marquina, Alabama White Cloud, and Belgian Black marbles GODSPEED BARSOOM: DEJAH is one of the newest series I am working on - the Stone Boat series. The series of ship hulls that contain objects are metaphors for memory and my voyage through life. This particular work refers to Dejah Thoris, and all the red princesses across Barsoom who are forever in need of rescue, and the adolescent fantasies of airships, thoats, and lost civilizations from the pen of Edgar Rice Burroughs. One of the Apollo astronauts said Godspeed Earth when he saw Earthrise on the Moon, and Godspeed was also one of the original ships for the Jamestown colony settlement.
