Artwork Description:
This painting was done in support of Polybe+Seats, a non profit theater company in NYC. Polybe+Seats is producing a play about Charlotte Salomon who was a young Jewish artist living in exile on the southern coast of France during the nazi era. During her 2 years in exile ahe painted over 1300 watercolors which were saved by a symapthetic local and given to her father at the end of the war. Charlotte and her husband were killed at Auscwitz. I am giving 100 % of the sales of the painting, prints and cards to the theater company. The project is also supported in part by The National Jewish Cultural Foundation.
