This bridge is near Zestoa Spain located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, northern Spain. We were there on a student trip during local elections. It was a very exciting three days. Professor Margaret Armbrust, she taught Art History for a number of years at CCAD and had been my teacher as well as colleague, was on that tour and we walked around town looking at the signs to free two Basque separitists... Our tour leader was a little concerned as to why we were put there during the elections... we made jokes that when they write our obituaries we were executed for being Basque terrorists when in reality all we were was art teachers on vacation... there was a community feast the night before elections and the local political party fed our students like kings... lamb, sausages and a number of local recipes... it was really great! Nice people all around. We spent a sunday evening in the church listening to a Bach recital.
