By the way I am not a workaholic as I don't consider what I do work. I enjoy life too much. I forgot to say I am also a weight lifter as lifting weights is my Zen. When I am troubled the concentration it takes to lift makes me calm. I guess my page will probably be a little different from what people expect. Sorry I have not been uploading new work as ...
Hisham Zreiq - My art is a private perspective on life, private pains and disappointments, society, Death and a philosophical look at life. Death is the source for creation and the motor of life. Crucifixion a symbol for pain, pain caused by social, political and religious systems. I think that art is another way to communicate, to express my ideas , for me art should have a message of a sort. This is the way I saw art when I was a little boy trying to express his Ideas with simple drawings, and this is the way I see art when working on my digital art or writing poetry today. Some times I ask myself, if we can reach people through "reason"! but I think its better to get to people's hearts through emotions, through ART, and from there we might get to their reason. Or maybe use extremes in art - and that is what I usually try - in order to make people think and ponder after their emotions become tens. Then their analyses might bring with it reasoning. ...
Tirzo Martha - The material doesn't need to be filled with words. It speaks for itself. It is our consciousness that has to translate it for us. My work is a loyal mirror of our societies, a reflection of a fragment from the thin line between fiction and reality. Tirzo Martha 2004...
Kattalina M Kazunas - A simple definition of alchemy is "the transmutation of base metal into gold." This is the definition most people would recognize. Another definition of alchemy, and the one that I prefer is, "the Royal Art of living consciously." My fascination with alchemy parallels my fascination with the mysteries of the natural world. The world of alchemy, like life, is filled with secret languages, symbols, and magical substances, that only begin to make sense when we give them focused attention. I am equally fascinated by the transformative effect on consciousness that happens through the creation, use, and study of symbols. Symbols become keys that unlock the mysteries of a soul's inner architecture, as well as the secrets of alchemical processes and transformations. This series of eight broadsides is my interpretation of ancient alchemical maxims written hundreds of years ago by Hermes Trismegistus, Paracelsus, and other alchemists, that still hold true today. A combination of vintage techniques was used in their creation: letterpress printing, indigo vat dying, iron oxide, and gold pigment....

Berit Nelson - My art reflects me; my ideas, my thoughts and my innermost struggles. As I go forth in life, I find inspiration everywhere.....in people, in places, in objects, but mostly in myself. What begins as an idea eventually grows into art, however I have discovered over the years that it is the process of getting there that I enjoy the most! My photography on the other hand, is another story. I enjoy taking pictures immensely and I have a good eye for it, and my real inspiration comes from that and that alone. I like seeing the final prints and remembering the journey I got to go on to get them! Sometimes the journey takes me far from home and other times I barely get out of the door but no matter where I end up, I usually find something beautiful to take a picture of!...

Angelo Mazzoleni - ARTISTS ITALIAN CONTEMPORARY: BIOGRAPHY ESSENTIAL ARTIST Angelo Mazzoleni was born in Florence on June 7, 1952 .. It starts soon his artistic activity, cultivated already in the youth, under the guidance of some teachers and attending courses at the Accademia Carrara Bergamo. In these years, participates in the first exhibitions painting in Lombardy and in other Italian regions. Some travel, particularly in Germany and Paris, enrich his artistic and cultural baggage and affect its first part of pittorica.Si also interested in discovering paleontology in particular some important fossils, donated to museums in Milan and Bergamo, including a erionide a generally still unknown and which was given its name in the relevant publications scientifiche.L'interest in the mystery of the past, for history, especially early in his ancestral size, is one of the other elements that characterize the His research also in the field of painting, even before the foundation, with other artists, the group "NEW ART SINCRETICA." "The evolutionary path of the artist, now thirty years, is marked by a personal search for the origins of the world of its vital forces Which, despite the variety of themes and techniques, appears as a single inner journey through time and ...
Patsy Cox - My most current work embodies mutations, hybrids, growth, and cross-pollination. Multiple forms can stand as individual pieces and also parts of a cohesive whole. When the pieces are grouped together, it's not clear where one begins and the next one ends, which is the original and which is the mutation. While most of my work does not refer to a particular geographical location, my most recent projects have grown out of my own relationship to Los Angeles--its communities; its sheer mass; its blending of boundaries; its mixtures of language and culture. I focus on capturing the overwhelming nature of a sprawling city and often use the primary colors of blue, yellow and red to emphasize the possibility of its transformation--all colors are possible from the mixture. It is important to me that I approach my work in a physical way. The process of creating the work in the tradition of working with clay is as vital as the work itself. ...
Christian Harkness - Artist Statement: My interest in photography ranges from the traditional documentary work to photo art and digital manipulation. After having spent decades using darkrooms to obtain my prints, I now take great joy and delight in the opportunities the digital darkroom provides. Most enjoyably of all, it gives me the opportunity to re-examine many of my prints and negatives, and re-conceptualize them. Even when doing traditional documentary work, I am never totally satisfied that my images deal with the whole range of facts and emotions that are part of a particular project. So, I find it refreshing that I can digitally infuse my work with the emotion and meaning that sometimes escapes the black and white negatives with which I work. Working digitally also frees me from the dark and isolated environment of the traditional darkroom. It allows me to work with a cup of tea by my side, and take breaks without having to worry about ruining chemistry or my prints. Most of the work represented here flows from my personal experience as filter through literature or philosophy. My "Every Angel is Terrifying ." portfolio deals with the sadness and grief that comes from losing youth and beauty ...
