Aida Glamocak - My work derives its inspiration from nature and personal experience. Using glass as my medium, I create both functional and artistic pieces. In the functional work(jewellery and glass objects), I put the emphasis on the form, design and colour. My aim is to produce work that is calm, peaceful and meditative, so it creates atmosphere of tranquillity. My starting points are quite often external organic elements. I enjoy the process of reducing narrative elements of the natural world into abstract forms. I am naturalised British citizen born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, currently residing in Germany. Thus, my artistic pieces deal with my personal experience of displacement and desire to settle in, loss against gain and how these things are inseparable and go side by side with each other. New cultures and languages constantly influence the way I work, think and see the world around me. In my recent project, an award winning wall installation, "Interrupted Stories" Story No.1? (Collegium Artisticum, Sarajevo, BiH, 2009), I deal with these contradictory themes. These perplexing themes intrigue me a lot and I plan to continue to explore them in my future work. ...
Shane Irvine - Rather than try and create images, I try to create atmosphere and ambiance. As a multi media artist, I strive to coordinate my water color and lapidary talents together with my stained glass skills. Rather than try and create a stained glass work of a fish, I prefer to create a water color painting of an ocean scene with a coordinated stained glass panel that incorporates cut and polished stones, sea shells and other dried crustaceans like star fish and sea horses to create a window to the sea. ...

Berit Nelson - My art reflects me; my ideas, my thoughts and my innermost struggles. As I go forth in life, I find inspiration everywhere.....in people, in places, in objects, but mostly in myself. What begins as an idea eventually grows into art, however I have discovered over the years that it is the process of getting there that I enjoy the most! My photography on the other hand, is another story. I enjoy taking pictures immensely and I have a good eye for it, and my real inspiration comes from that and that alone. I like seeing the final prints and remembering the journey I got to go on to get them!
