  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Cheryl Crouthamel - Thanks for visiting my site! I always have a tough time writing my "artists statement". I mean, how can I begin to explain to anyone who isn't living in my head-and believe me there are a few knocking around in there-who I think I am, why I do what I do, and how I go about doing it. Art has always been a cozy place for me to curl up in and let whatever or whoever decides to show up for the party, onto my canvass or drawing tablet. It changes day to day, by the music I'm grooving to at the moment, or how crappy I feel that day. There is one thing I do know about what I create, it has to evoke a feeling from the viewer. I usually lean towards warm and fuzzy, since most of my work is for kids. But every now and then the voices take over and who knows what can show up! Okay, so now that everyone thinks I'm bonkers, I'll go back to doing what I do and hope I like who comes to play! Cheers!...

Bernhard Oberdieck - Here I introduce you to my work as illustrator. I specialize in children's book illustrations and have been published by German as well as foreign publishers. The best known of my works were created in collaboration with Michael Ende. I also draw for advertising projects and packaging illustrations, and many of the children's book illustrations are used in the vast merchandising field. My illustrations can be seen worldwide in exhibits and are sought by many collectors. I would be pleased to know if my homepage is to your liking. If you would like to purchase an original, please send me an e-mail or simply give me a call. In the United States I am represented by Carol Bancroft & Friends....

Emmanuel Di Giacomo - Enter a World of fantasy and dream-like nature inspired by so many years of researches, dreams, and all kind of Arts immersion. Formerly Graduated of Architecture, I was a student of Paul Maymont in UP7, one of the most famous French Utopian Architect and Urbanist in the 60s, himself a student of Auguste Perret. My abilities, interests and passions brought me through Architecture, Multimedia, Urban planning and CAD/Multimedia Software Management... Either you like Design, Architecture, Fantastic Worlds or Objects, Illustrations and sketching, you'll certainly feel fascinated by most of these Creations....

Duchy Man Valderá - I'm a cuban artist into book illustration (mainly books for children), opera and theatre posters, stage costume design, origami and paper handcrafts, writer... I'd like to share opinions with other artists, and get in touch with other cuban and international illustrators abroad. Feel free to write me. ...

Ned Meneses - Dear reader, The master and the student, being and nonbeing, art has been a way of life for me. At times finding myself on the wrong side of the brush. I have an affinity for nature - Physics & math, and like to be in a state of constant motion. I will explore everything that I can. Styles come and go but what remains is a clean idea that somehow remains on paper (or on light beams) In these exciting times it is not beyond our abilities to reach farther than we ever imagined and redefine ourselves. Coming back to that concept'mastery', as an artist that is all you can try, to see how far you can look into infinity. ...

Michael Jessing - My art has its roots in the imagination. It is the crucible where systems of humanity (urban, social, political, religious etc.) are synthesised with nature (earth, matter, energy, emotions) to form dreams/ visions. This is the artist's journey of transformation. My imaginative art deals with experiences from these systems which inspire me towards the expression of a unique image. These images offer alternative contemporary responses to patterns/cycles reflected in myth, religious texts such as the Psalms, geometry and symbolic forms. All systems must be open to change or else that system will stagnate and perish. The relationship between the systems and their inevitable return to the void is at the basis of my art. ...
