Artwork Description:

North American XB-70 Valkyrie Bomber Aviation Art Print. Designed and constructed during the Cold War, the Valkyrie first flew in 1964. The United States issued a requirement for a heavy bomber capable of cruising at Mach 3 with range enough to reach the USSR to deliver a nuclear weapon. Rapid progress of intercontinental ballistic missile programs soon negated the role for which the Valkyrie was intended and the program was cancelled. Two prototypes were constructed however; the number two ship was lost in a tragic accident in 1966 when a chase plane collided with it during a test flight. The first airplane continued to fly with NASA until her retirement in 1969 and is now on display at the National Museum of the US Air Force near Dayton, OH. The print captures this magnificent airplane performing at the peak of its capabilities - Mach 3 at 70,000 Feet! This is a stunning and eye-catching 16 x 24 Giclee print. The print features a white border with blue accents. Our Giclee prints are printed on Somerset Velvet paper with Epson Ultrachrome professional archival inks. The image is printed on paper with an extra 1 border to allow for matting or framing. The North American XB-70 Valkyrie aviation art print ships flat. The print is wrapped in brown paper, sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a cardboard box. Final Thoughts
We take each sale very seriously and understand that each original artwork is unique. There is always something that needs special attention with each artwork shipment. Thus, we always offer individualized attention to each client for every purchase however small or large it may be. We treat all our clients with great attention and care. We are not a big box store -- not like a warehouse store shipping low quality reproduction art -- not like a big discounter --or website that offers "free shipping" which usually drives the price up and takes money away from the artist. We are a company with over 25 years of art experience and we always treat our artists fairly. On the internet since 1995, absolutearts.com understands that each original work of art is valuable. Whether your art purchase is a gift, a corporate piece, a private art commission or an artwork for your living room - we always respect your taste and privacy!
