Artwork Description:

Abstract collage on illustration board explores my interest in color and texture, and how they influence one another. In this painting, dark blue and grass-green backgrounds are separated by a horizontal band of a lighter blue. A blue collage square adds depth and texture. The diagonal rows of blue paint splatters anchor all the painting’s elements and soften what would would otherwise be a pane of right angles. Wood frame is finished in gold foil patina.
