Artwork Description:
My work here clears away the background: sweeps away the context,Only the animals are omnipresent. They bend & twist the space around them to identify themselves. They engage us with their metaphysical stories creating homes in our collectiveConsciousness. We take them to our hearts to ensure our connected space remains full of life, memories and matter. No Room for Comfort. I put these two together in order to create a deliberate sense of trepidation. The young Robin has a disability affecting his toes on one foot, making landing Difficult. This was a worry as the little fella may not be able to defend its territoryAs winter approaches and sure enough a new Robin has appeared. Hoping this little robin was a migrant and has flown to warmer climes! The Swans have well established colonies on the River Stour and meadows and hold a powerful presence,Sharing the environment, that’s integral to the alliances all forms of life make for the available resources.
