Artwork Description:

I used the intaglio technique combined with drypoint and hand printed this work on Stonehenge black paper. Five acid baths were required to obtain my desired result, and the etching was printed with a blend of oil based French etching inks with powdered silver added. The image size is 8 inches wide by x 6 inches high, or 20.320cm x 15.240cm. The print size is 12 inches wide by x 10, inches high, or 30.480cm x 25.400cm. This work was inspired by a scene in the brilliant film by Jean Cocteau, BLOOD OF A POET. It is part of my Cinematic Poem Series. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in mat selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box.
