Artwork Description:

This monoprint began as an etched image on plexiglass, and was finished with gouache and watercolor. It is a one of a kind work and was inspired by an oil-painting on canvas that I created in 1979 entitled, SOFI. The image of a zoftig sunbather bending over the surf has haunted me for decades. It is a painting within a painting, as well as a scene seen through a window. Media also include Rives BFK white paper, graphite, and India ink. The work is mounted on another piece of Rives BFK white paper to accommodate a 16 inch b7 20 inch mat and frame.
