Marie Drews - Windows Facing Unspoken Narratives A majority of my paintings are about characters. In that way they're similar to my writing. When I write, it makes no difference whether when I'm plugging away at one of my novels or composing a poem, in one way or another, it's all character driven. My paintings have that same intuition. I strive to create a pictoral representation of a scene in a silent story. That painted image is a glimpse through a window facing a narrative. Whether it's a tale of some warrior maiden, the personality of a room, or the stillness of a wooded glade, I strive to coax each image forward with a gentle touch, creating a safe moment for the subject to openly voice the full extent of their emotion. ...
Dana Zivanovits - Dana Zivanovits was born in 1958 in Columbus, Ohio and received his art training from the Columbus College of Art and Design (1978 to 1982). After art school, he went abroad for a year and studied the art of the old masters in London, Paris, Madrid, Rome and Venice. Returning to his studio in Columbus to develop these influences into a new body of work, he then traveled to Mexico and studied the sculpture and painting of that country for an extended period. The unique and vivid colors of Palenque and Vera Cruz intensified his palette. After a period in Ohio, he then moved to Venice Beach, California where the brilliant light of the region reinforced his desire to capture effects of sunlight and atmosphere. Returning to Ohio in 1995, he has continued to paint themes deriving inspiration form sources such as world mythology, classic and B-grade cinema, literature and dreams. However his primary inspiration is direct observation from nature, versus an approach based in art theories or cultural critique. Dana has been widely represented by galleries and exhibition projects including Julie Rico and Mega Boom in Los Angeles, the Venice Art Detour, Around the Coyote Festival in Chicago ...

Queenie Lam - I use acrylic and oil to showcase my imaginative world and to make a religious comment on the ideals. I am particularly interested in creating my work with a variety of vibrant colors because I believe that this is the way life is supposed to be portrayed. ...

The mind is a constant whirlwind of situations and experiences, feelings and fears, terror, sublime happiness and so much more we haven't even tapped into. In my own way I use my art to try and express some part of that magic. Distortion is inevitable ofcourse because of life and it's wondrous trip ups. My goal?... Continue to dream and create and hope that I will find the purest form of expression before this trip is done....

Arwen Delyon - Imagine meeting the entire Universe for the first time. In your excitement you rush to greet it in all its wonder. You wish to know it, this living, breathing organism. From a distance it is a swirl of mysterious light and shadow. Upon closer examination, galaxies and stars appear. But there's more to this Universe than what lies on the surface. You take pause, and as you look closer, you realize this Universe contains something even more beautiful: Life. In fact, life is everywhere, in every seemingly quiet corner. You want to peek inside every corner, every hiding place, meet every creature, every person. Each with thier own personality and their own colors, dancing in rhythm to the movement of the Universe. you imagine what might be going on in a certain place, and who or what you might find there. Soon, you cannot stop wondering, nor do you posess the desire to do so. Imagining the inner workings of the Universe and all life within becomes as natural as simply breathing. This is life as I know it. I can see things in no other way, and my wish is simply to share this Universe I see with ...
