Artwork Description:

Distant showers depicts a mature apple tree set at the foot of of the rolling hills of the Cheviots which border my home county of Northumberland England and Scotland. The unpredictability of the weather as the summer drifts into Autumn is depicted by the showers falling over the hills. The works was inspired by a walk in the country where I observed curtains of rain falling from a dark cloud over the distant hills. this piece is fitted with a narrow black frame to compliment the stunning colours contained within the works
