Love to Love is an acrylic on canvas quasi-abstract painting on one of the most compelling natural forces in the world, Love. To love someone and be loved in return by the person is one of man’s greatest desires which is the inspiration behind “Love to Love”. It is a story of two lovers in a love boat in their own lovely world under the approving gaze of the moon. With abstracted and regular motifs of love spread across the painting in order to portray an African ambience with limited pallet of blues, oranges, yellows, gray and white. Two pairs of birds were depicted flying overhead in synchronized harmony for symbolic significance as a metaphor of eternal love. The heart shaped forms beating for love, the eternal bond of love associated with birds, the soothing moon, the beautiful breeze, the blues for real love and other hues as well as the lovers all unite to complete the story of Love to Love.
