John Tooma - This site is only a guide to my artworks, you will appreciate them alot more when they are seen in real life. These prices are set in US currency, hope you could be aware of this. As a Painter and Graphic DesignerIllustrator, art is huge part of my life. Its a great feeling to have the ability to draw and paint what my eye can see. As an observer, I love to sketch in my A5 pads and photograph most subject matter transferring the visual information onto paper, canvas, clay or the computer. I use digital photographic equipment only as a support for my work. I draw and paint virtually everything but my passion lies with the human body. I use dry and wet medium such as graphite pencil, chalk pastel, charcoal, ink, gouache and oil paints. I enjoy experimenting with my subject. I also use the apple computer for retouching and airbrushing technique. You can order Prints from any of these Paintings or Drawings and this would be printed on either Paper or Canvas depending on your preference. It is an absolute pleasure to share my passion with you and to speak about it through art. I enjoy sketching ...
Eli Gross - "Aspire to happiness, to calm a tempestuous soul, towards serenity "- that's the way Eli Gross articulates the nature of his art. In his youth he was a student of the famous artists Jacob (Yoyo) El Hanani and Gabi Ben Zano. Recently after half a century of a demanding carrier, Eli has finally realized his age old dream. He studies art at Avni institute and is an active artist, painter and sculptor. Eli's longing for happiness is molded into the harmonious movement of his dancer characters. The same ideas are also conveyed in a silent embrace or pastoral landscape. The underpinning notion is one of harmonies stasis and nirvana. A longing for absolute happiness and tranquility for a turbulent soul, for moments of serenity facilitated by silent embrace and harmonious movement of two unique souls and two intimate bodies in synchronized flow merging in body and soul. An interesting path leads Eli's work that starts as a drawing, then a burgeoning imagery, maturing into a painting and sometimes a multi-dimensional sculpture all born of a single idea. ...
Alletta Remillard - My work focuses on expressionist portraits, depicting various characters alongside self-representations. I draw inspiration from the intricate details of the human form skin folds, veins, membranes, and muscles. Its these underlying features, such as blood vessels, that I leverage to tell a story or represent a moment in my life. I explore themes of identity, existentialist anxiety, and safety within these. Influenced by anatomy, gore and horror, as well as human experiences, my art serves as a visual narrative, as experienced over the past year of my life. Working with acrylic paints, oil pastels, and chalk pastels, I blend these materials creating an organic effect. Color plays a large role in my work to convey intensity and depth. Although color may not contribute to the realism of the body, it nevertheless serves to highlight the forms I wish to emphasize. I create my work in many thin layers with large brush strokes. Large brushes allow for an organic flow throughout each work, bringing the viewer back to the purpose pieces of the body. ...
Jyoti Thomas - I feel passionate about creating in many different forms and mediums but I'm predominantly a painter. My art comes from my inner world giving a voice to thoughts and emotions that can't always be adequately expressed in other ways. I am always in awe of the deep power of creativity to heal and bring deep insight. Most of my works are rich in colour and symbols and are an emotional and soul felt interpretation of the world within me and around me. The works shown here are from several bodies of work those being Meet Anita, Gifts of Descent, Below the Surface, Fragments, Oceans of Choice. and Night Sea Journey. My artwork has been a constantly changing river of works following the journey of my life, through good times and difficult times and has always been a refuge and a deep love. While the artwork just IS in its own right I also hope that it taps into others experiences of life and links us together in our common humanity. I love art just for its own sake and nothing else in my world has the ability to lift my heart and soul like making art does. I ...
