Artists Describing Their Art:

Ivan Pili - Following in the footsteps of the great masters of the past, the tradition of classical and romantic nineteenth-century painting that evolves into a figurative language relives in the beautiful works of art of master Ivan Pili , whilst the segno runs fast and decisive in the graphic ability from suffused values aEUR
Anne Schwartz - My newest collections, entitled Zoom and A Journey Through Infinity, reflect my artistic exploration of the infinite cosmic history. I am known for pushing my palette of vibrant, and often translucent, colors to the limit, drawing out the vivid hues of nature. My paintings draw upon the earth's energy in a dangerous and imaginative drama. The paintings launch the viewer from under the earth's surface into the solar system and beyond. I explore my own consciousness to create a kind of landscape of energy and emotions. One color plays on the last, changing and twisting to form the contrasts of light and dark. Bright colors burst forth against the dark background, sending the viewer into a dazzling world of exploding stars, swirling gas planets, and our own earth. My collection A Journey to Infinity is oil on canvas. My collection Zoom is mixed media on canvas and paper. I am located in Pacific Palisades, California, and work in oil, collage and other forms of mixed media. Artist Bio Anne Brawer Schwartz has exhibited her mixed media paintings in numerous group shows throughout Los Angeles County. In 2010, her work was published in the coffee table book "Santa Monica," ...

Harrie Sijbers - Born in 1953, Sint Oedenrode, Holland, Harrie Sijbers graduated with honour at the Design Academy Eindhoven His very expressive paintings show his pronounced taste for abstract, landscape and floral compositions almost like abstraction. Indeed, the artist is mainly inspired by nature to realize luminous artworks full of sensibility. Thanks to a very dynamic brushstroke and bright colors, Harrie passes on his enthusiasm and his love of life. Each of his works is resolute in its style and conveys a pictorial liveliness resulting in a unique and innovative perspective aEUR" such a rich perspective that it elevates his works to the level of pure aesthetic lyricism. As he often paints with only a palette knife his paintings show big amoounts of oilpaint and nice fabrics. He always works with high quality materials. See more at www.harriesijbers.nl ...

Numerous Southeast galleries represent her. Jane received her BFA from University of Georgia and Masters in Art from Florida State with additional studies in Pietrasanta, Italy. Will Birdwell - I started painting late in life read my BIO There are many things about art that I dont understand. I dont understand how a person can display a blank piece of canvas and call it art, AND, have others agree. With all do respect to Warhol, I didnt understand the soup cans either. I realize that many artists try to get the viewer to think. I get that, but I need a little more to work with. I want beauty. Many of my paintings are based on space. The universe. I have been fascinated by the Hubble telescope photographs since they first became available to the public. I think The Hubble is the most important piece of equipment ever created. I realize that others would argue for other technology and machines or Ideas that feed the belly. I get that, but Hubble feeds the mind. It creates and provides the most beautiful art available..........anywhere. It abolishes long held mythical superstitions about life itself. Thinking art. Far better than a soup can and blank canvas. WILL ...

Harry Weisburd - Harry Weisburd is an Internationally Represented Artist, including, USA, Expressions Gallery, Berkeley, California,

Yves Goyatton - My current body of work represents my fascination with the mystery of abstract shapes and their juxtaposition with human form.A My work has taken this concept most literally by combining the human form and the abstracted shapes of modern landscapes. aEUR"I am a process-oriented artist. The process is what drives my work from one piece to the next. I am constantly exploring my personal boundaries. I am inspired by all the steps in which art is made I am not afraid to face the difficulties the process requires of myself, so long as I continue to learn and grow from it.A The process allows me to conquer problems these challenges allow new points of departure for the next works. aEUR"I enjoy composing in a fusion between these two elements. I conceive my workA primarily as abstract with anthropomorphic elements.A It is important for me to begin with an idea, but remain malleable to the end result. It is most important to me that the piece reflects a refined aesthetic, which I can only describe when I am visually satisfied. This becomes my new boundary for the next work to exceed what I have done before without duplication. aEUR"The work ...
