THIS LARGE THREE PLATE ETCHING IS SOLD WITHOUT A FRAME OR MAT. This combined abstract monoprint and etching was created at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania within THE OPEN PRINTMAKING STUDIO on The Fleischer Art campus. Media includes oil base etching ink, Rives BFK etching paper, and Thai mulberry bark paper infused with kozo threads and also treated with methylcellulose. The print size is 14 inches high by 24 inches wide, or 35.560cm by 60.960cm. The left and right etching plates measure 8 inches high by 6 inches wide. The center plate is 10 inches high by 8 inches wide. This make the printed area about 18 inches wide by ten inches high. The artist used three zinc etching plates and the studio techniques of intaglio, drypoint, aquatint, and Chine collé. The work is shipped to the buyer without a frame or mat. It is shipped between two acid free boards and then packed carefully with archival glassine and bubble wrap. The mailing is completed in a heavy cardboard box.
