Artists Describing Their Art:
Chongwu Ao - I, ChongWu AO artist name is Zhongwua>>2a3/4, live in Melbourne, Australia, am an independent contemporary freelance painting Asian artist. I use ink painting on the rice paper and use an abstract approach to depict the feelings and thinking of beauty. My painting shows Asian cultural elements and humanistic spirit and is magnificent, open, natural, and has no limit. Freedom your true feelings is the portrayal of my work. Traditional art is rational, abstract art is irrational. Abstract art pursues the sense of visual pleasure, and pure visual pleasure is the essence of art. Abstract aesthetic is the instinct of human nature, like music and food it is the gift of human freedom. True temperament, true abstraction and figurative art. Let the viewers get free imagination in their appreciation, soar in the space of free imagination... Instagram art_aocwartistwork Twitter ao_work ...
Karen Stein - Karen Stein Art I encompass both acrylic abstract compositions and mixed mediumcollages as my preferred expression. My intention is to emphasize vibrant rich colors, bold brush strokes, line development and layers upon layers of textures Each canvas has its own personality developing visual storytelling, movement, and energy. I enjoy creating and pull ideas stimulated by my past in the fashion industry form, patterns, shapes, balance of colors, design etc. Creativity is play It is a spontaneous freeing adventure. I have learned to paint without expectations. No preconceived images in my mind. I start with a large blank canvas of nothingness, then play, then add, then take away, then add some more and then finally SEE.......My process has been resolved after applying the use of many tools, mark making, sanding, collage pieces added, or not, glazing, testing, and plain exploring sometimes taking risks. I hope to convey my love for art by stimulating emotional response from the viewer, be it feelings of quiet or intensity. My non representational finished pieces have been welcomed into many private homes. I am grateful that my talents are appreciated....

Mijal Zachs - My work is a tautological investigation on painting. I started it while reflecting on the representation and simulation of reality, transforming the pictorical realm with the strategies of camuflage. Here, painting is not part of the context, but it's rather created as the support and is mediated by the interlocutor aEUR" the observer. The painting moves seducing the canvas and, as it advances, it copies itself in a mimetic manner and it represents itself as if it were a reflection. The mirror reproduces in a game of viewing, pretending to see itself but being someone else; a subtle vail that faces its condition of mask, guiding us towards reality....or maybe not. Through this investigation I have found different surroundings: from fabrics with given patterns, to tapistries, papers and woods. All of them have relinquished to me their condition and I have established with them a dialogue. The painting, loyal to its author, creates new strategies as it progresses and it developes through roads that intersect with each other and deliniate new trails. Its discourse moves forward with the aEURoeIaEUR being aEURoethe other.aEUR When I intervene without hiding the fabric's pattern, I develope an equilibrium that creates the ilusion ...
