Barry Hurley - A momentaEURtms quiet grace is becoming harder to find these days. In a society obsessed with technological change and how we appear to others, itaEURtms now even more important to take time to reflect on the world we live in, the surroundings we create and how lives are impacted through the ordinary every day. My photography is a reflection of society today. It finds beauty in the mundane, significance in the abandoned and maybe, provides the viewer with a little hope as they join me sat on a beach at 5am waiting for the sun to rise. ...
Eli Gross - aEURoeAspire to happiness, to calm a tempestuous soul, towards serenity - thataEURtms the nature of my art. My longing for happiness is molded into the harmonious movement of children and also conveyed in a silent embrace or pastoral landscape. There is only one pretty child in the world, and every grandfather has it. That quote might be told from many different perspectives - how we see or feel about aEUR" even they are so far. So far ... I can not hug them, And yet so close ... I bring you out of my imagination, with rivers of color, to the canvas. So far ... you can reach the end of the world ... But as long as I have your love ... you are always close. ...
Renuka Pillai - My work deals with expression and color. My goal is to give the viewer an emotional experience when viewing each painting. My foundation in academic realism influences the recurrent themes in my paintings, they may be landscapes, human figurative studies, or still life arrangements using realism as an unifying ideal. Furthermore I have had a lifelong fascination with the abstract. I have worked as a minimalist and then using symbolic devices as an abstract expressionist to explore broader narratives. The diverse subject matter addressed in my work is connected with a common regard for simplicity, beauty, atmospheric tone and the timelesness of artistic expression. Roberto Trigas - Art has been practiced by humans since thousands of years ago; we have remaining samples of paintings in caves and walls, stone carvings and many objects. The main characteristic of Art as opposed to the manufacture of everyday objects is that, were those have a definite USEFUL purpose, Art doesn`t seem to. I`ll explain.Making a tool to obtain food is an obvious useful activity. Spending a great deal of time and effort in "decorating" that tool doesn`t seem to have an obvious purpose. And yet, humans have been doing so for thousands of years. Why? Probably we shall never know. But there is something inherent in human beings that make us do so.There is magic in creating, in transforming a piece of clay into a "thing" that resembles something else, in spreading paint over a stone wall and making images appear, images that other members of the tribe recognise and relate to. That is why I paint. Because painting appeals to the magic unknown of human nature. In European Art, mainly since the Renaissance (XV c. onwards), Artists strived to attain a representation of the visual reality as close to an optical view as possible; ...
Cindy Pinnock - Artist Statement My heart goes into all that I do whether it be from cooking gourmet dishes, to 3 dimensional art works that adorn my home or to my warm embracing landscaping that surrounds my house for guests. My passion for expressing my emotions onto a blank canvas started shortly after high school and was fine-tuned with college and private classes. However, I must admit that truly being a part of nature and experiencing the great outdoors in our beautiful state have greatly deepened my passion for wildlife and nature in my work. As my tastes matured, I ventured into many different mediums such concrete, mosaic, and pencil just to name a few. Most recently, oil painting has consumed my passion for the brilliance of color and the ability of combining different techniques of brush and abstract impressionistic strokes by hand. The way I look at ordinary objects in our daily lives and make them more unique sets me apart from other artists. I donaEURtmt keep my work to simply a canvas but to the world around me, I live my creativity and have no limitations. I would welcome the opportunity to have you view my creations please ...
