Michael Prochnik - When I first started photographing, I was driven by the desire to communicate to my family and friends my travels, but as my photography progressed I realized it was mainly the people that I saw around me that became the main focus of my pictures. When I chose my best photos, I realized that my favorites choices were not based on their technical merits but rather on the feeling I got from the subjects in those images. Even when I became a professional photographer, I was still drown back to the first images I have ever taken, and to the feeling I get from those images, which in essence is my aim when photographing, and my wish for others to share.
