FULL TITLE IS, Church In Lama dei Peligni Abruzzo with Cherry Sky. This intaglio etching also uses the Chine colle, or Chinese pasting, technique to add color to the print via the use of mulberry bark paper from Thailand treated with methyl cellulose. Media include black oil-based etching ink, Charbonnel brand from Paris, and RivesBFK white paper. This image depicts a small church in the Italian village of Lama dei Peligni, which is located in the Province of Abruzzo, east of Rome on the Adriatic Coast. The visual elements of my etchings include a play of shadow and light to manipulate textures, and a hard edge design to emphasize both line and geometric form. This print has three editions of ten etchings tone color per edition. This edition is pink final edition will have an aqua sky. The print size is 9 inches high by 10 inches wide. I hand printed and published this edition at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector a wide range of personal choice in both mat selection and framing. The etching is shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. The artwork is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine tissue and then placed between two archival boards, which are fastened together.
