Artists Describing Their Art:

Mary Hatch - Mary Hatch has had a strong interest in art beginning painting and art classes when she was twelve, and visiting the Dallas Museum of Art, and A The Chicago Art Institute regularly made an impression on her style by seeing famous paintings. She studied art at UT Arlington, and transferred in her junior year to the Architecture department from the Art department, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and is a Registered Texas Architect and Interior Designer. She additionally studied printmaking at TCU and the University of Dallas. Seeing other museums also created a great love for art including the Kimbell Art Museum, Louvre, Prada, Kunsthistorisches, Ufizzi, and The National Gallery. In the late 70s, she participated in multiple gallery art shows, university exhibits and Dallas WomanaEURtms Caucus of Art and Texas Visual Artist competitions. In the mid 80aEURtms she attended an Adams Middleton Gallery, Dallas, TX, art show for the abstract expressionist, Herbert Ferber, at his art exhibition. His vast canvases with sculptured facade inspired her to paint large. In the 90's, the New Mexico Series was inspired by the Southwest and multiple trips to Santa Fe, NM. During 2006-2009, she was painting seascapes ...

Marino Chanlatte - I started painting a long time before I realized it was my passion, and that I would be a painter. I felt the inner need to express through painting, in a freely and spontaneous way, my feelings, thoughts, ideas and fantasies that appeared as visions ... I use color, texture, shapes, light, and shadows to express myself. If my work communicates any emotion or feeling to the viewer, then I accomplished my purpose....

Marino Chanlatte - John Cielukowski - I received my BA in Fine Arts from Montclair University in New Jersey in 1981. I also studied at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and The Art Students League in New York City. I enjoy painting vintage amusement park scenes, farm animals, domestic and feral felines and industrial landscapes. With my paintings of farm animals I try to convey that these animals have the same depth of emotion, feel joy and suffer just like our domesticated pets do. I donate my paintings and prints to local non-profit Central Florida groups such as (Save The Manatee Club, The Brevard Achievement Center, The Space Coast Feline Network and the Humane Society of Central Brevard) for their fund-raising efforts. I also donate to national animal welfare groups like Farm Sanctuary, in Woodstock, NY. I am an active member of the Central Brevard Art Association. I am responsible for hanging artwork at one of our aEURoeArt in Public SpacesaEUR locations....

Pol Ledent - I am a self-taught artist. I was born in Belgium o, 23rd October 1952. I started painting in 1995 . I took some drawing lessons in the art academy in Dinant. I try to paint the landscapes of the countryside where I am living : the southern part of Belgium. Firts I took part in many collective exhibitions . Than, I had personal exhibitions in Rochehaut (Galerie La Potele), in Dinant (Galerie L'impression), in Paris (Rive Gauche Galerie Artimus) in Brussels (Galerie G-Loft).In 2004, I had three exhibitions, again In Rochehaut, galerie La Potele in May. Then, in September Exhibition Libr'art in Libramont. In November, Galerie Impression in Dinant. What people like most in my paintings are the colours. My art doesn't speak to the intellect but to the soul and to the feelings. Talink the risk to seem old fashioned , I would say it is rather romantic. I wish you much pleasure looking at my paintings. Pol Ledent ...

Denise Seyhun - The glowing energy of waves and the foaming seas captivate my soul, and as a result my seascapes, waterfalls, and riverscapes bare witness to my love and admiration for the force and elegance of bodies of water. Main character in my oil paintings is water, which deeply fascinates me, not only as true beauty but also with its transparent colors reflecting in constant motion. As an artist my purpose is to accomplish the portrayal of the emotional tones and depths of shades of truth that are displayed in continuous movement. For this particular reason the unseen and untold dimensions that the undertones and the overtones of bodies of water allow me to experiment with a wide array of colors on my palette. Consequently, my goal is to never repeat myself in my artistic journey as I continue to play with many shades of reflections in water until I have compiled a finite collection of all shades of water....

Sonja Peacock - I am an artist from South Africa who have been creative since childhood and who loves painting and experimenting with different mediums, styles, genres and textures from time to time. I consider myself a life long student of creativity and live it out on a daily basis as art is an expression of my emotions. My latest work of 2017 are all mixed media and a combination of realism, abstract, oil, acrylics and paper. Thank you for visiting my page. ...

Stanislav Bojankov - Stanislav Bojankov-Stanko achieves in his work a complete harmony between poetic vision and tangible object.Through the means of art he transfers drawing into different elite dimensions of space. The new Euclids optic which the artist opposes against the secrets of present and future, is like an insight into the fantastic architecture of matter and time.Perhaps this is where Ariadnas invisible string of fate starts to uncoil through the labyrinth toward the soul of ideal humanity. Plamena Dimitrova Art Critic,Bulgaria ...

Ana Maria Hidalgo - These paintings I have submitted belong to the sequence of paintings I have called "Sensorial Hearts". This sequence is being shown at the present time in Chile. I am showing 13 large paintings done in acrylic on canvas. The subject has to do with the world of human feelings, symbolized by the shape of a heart, which is represented figuratively only once in while on the work of art. Human feelings as subject matter constitute an excellent excuse for developing innumerable contents that finally conform the creative act. Color plays an important role in the making of the work of art. Its construction begins with deep ochre, from whom several figures emerge, concluding strokes of pure and lively color, that finish the work of art, ending in the creation of an complete body. The creation of primogenial signs that relate to ancestral human expression and human origin is one of the objectives of this work. This paintings also have to do with the creation of space and vital cosmos where the observer can recreate himself looking for shapes that originate upon his own subjectivity. On the other side, the exhibition also includes the presentation of some poems written by the ...

Mark Schwing - Ideally the artist is employed by society at large. The artist helps define culture and culture makes us who we are in whatever time and place we are at. Of course most of us are not living in caves anymore but even then art helped society function; helped the hunter hunt, showed people what to do. Art is still showing people what to do in a way. Whether it is raising awareness by showing what is going on, teaching by example or simply exploring ideas that give people ideas. My art is about ideas as much as anything else but it is a surrealistic and intuitive approach. So what is presented isn't a literal interpretation, it is more like exploring the idea with art. It is really another reality. It mirrors our reality and/or it is influenced by our reality. I can't help but be affected by what is going on around me and I am interested in the transcendental as well. Please visit my website, www.markschwing1.com, for more images....

Paola Di Renzo - Born in Abruzzo, I live and work in Sardinia .Pure amateur artist,I used to work with paper, mainly magazine paper, sand, acrylic and tempera.Nowadays I look for the pleasure of playing with colours with which I try to express feelings and emotions. If I was able to express in words what I try to convey with colours.......I would be a writer!...

Elisaveta Sivas - I am an artist working with different medium like clay, oil on canvas, ink pen on paper. I am also interested in fashion and theatre costume. My art is concentrated on women world and feelings. It is very emotional and delicate, but at the same time it is much spontaneous. Through shapes and lines I explore inner self, our world, Universe connections and interactions. My animals are kind and magic. My horses are carrying pomegranates on their back. They want to bring positive energies to our world. My wish is to add magic, to bring positive mood, to search for sophisticated lines and shapes, to enlighten our life with good vibrations. I love nature and animals, I am concerned about our planet. I am trying to lead more natural life, to grow my own food, to recycle and to care about the world. My best award is when my buyer is happy with my art. When I make people happy, I am happy myself....
