  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Serghei Ghetiu - Hi everybody, Art for me is primarily emotions, which I get in the process of work. As far as I remember myself back in my early childhood, I loved to visualize my feelings and moods that is why I paint everything without selecting one direction, since there are many things in this world that I want to capture in my paintings, whether people, nature or still lives. My love of detail does not complicate this perception at all, and my many years of experience in painting allows me to work quickly, without much searching, to solve the tasks in the painting. My paintings reflect my state of mind and emotions that is why they are so bright and saturated with detail. My detailed artworks is a peculiarity in our time and sometimes I hear people ask me why I do so many details in my artworks, it spend so much time. But in reality it comes out by itself without any stress and effort, because it is my way to see this world. I am not a hyperrealist and do not try to be one. But my artworks seem to be very realistic, because of colors but not because of ...

Russell Saunders - My influences are diverse. I love all forms of expressionism through art. I have learned that life is a constant changing force and I try to illustrate that through my art. ItaEURtms one of the reasons that abstract is my favorite art form. I have always been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of the moment. Life itself is a wonderful piece of abstract art, its beauty and message are different for each viewer. Dependent on what lens is chosen, it can change each time it is viewed. That is the beauty of life, art, and creativity. Constant flow and energy creating a different journey for every participant. In abstract art and life, you can look for hidden meaning and deep thought-provoking messages, or simply bask in the color and movement. The choice is always there for the viewer to make. I absolutely love that about art When I paint, as clichA(c) as it sounds, I let the piece decide what it will become. At times I may have a definite vision of what I want to paint but I am never afraid to change course if the piece is disagreeable. I love it when I hear people discussing ...

Connie Chadwell - I have always loved to draw the face and figure. If I'm not actually drawing from the posed model or sketching people going about their everyday lives, I'm probably thinking about it. I seldom miss an opportunity to draw or paint from life and I strive every day to capture not just a likeness of my subjects, but also the more elusive qualities of spirit, mood and emotion. ...

Aniko Hencz - I have been drawing and painting ever since I could hold a pencil in my hand...Most of my works are inspired by nature, buildings and personal feelings which end in abstract or conceptual paintings and drawings - it all depends on my mood. My favorite technique is watercolor and ink, but I also like to paint with acrylic or oil. Another medium I create in, is digital art, where my works are the creations of my imagination. I like to experiment and learn new techniques, thus I ventured myself in creating jewelry. When Im not painting, I make one of a kind beaded and wire wrapped pendants. I sell my pieces worldwide, commission works are also welcome - contact me if you wish something special. ...

Mimi Revencu - The Mirabilism Manifesto Art these days most often reflects alienation, desperation, violence, loneliness, old age and death. But art is a dynamic field, always looking to rediscover and reinvent itself. It is time to express something new in art, something related to our deep essence, universal and optimistic, separated from the daily madness. It is time for the artist to call for a change of attitude and spirit, bringing to life the present and not only reflecting the world around. I believe that art in general is meant to be perceived as inside vibration. And Mirabilis is pure inner vibration at its best. The Mirabilis artist depicts impressions and mental images that do not pass through the filter of a mental process. They are rather the product of his instincts. The images are featuring bright colours, lots of green hues and pink, no grays tones and almost no use of black paint. Colours are applied side-by-side with as little mixing as possible, creating a simplified, vibrant surface. Objects and beings are mostly flat but they are disposed in different layers and transparency of thin paint films is used in order to obtain deepness of space. There are surfaces...

Johann Van Den Noort - Dutch native, painter and artist JOHANN VAN DEN NOORT (Kampen 1940) has an undeniable bond with the sea and therefore maintains a unique position within the modern art world. His passion for the sea and the way this passion is visualized through his original art form, secures him a position in the ranks of today's art world. JOHANN VAN DEN NOORT's paintings summon feelings of sovereignty. An exuberance arising from meeting the elements and visually capturing an abstract image into an emotoinal reality. Wim van der Beek, arteditor. JOHANN VAN DEN NOORT dominates all technics in the art like: oilpaintings, watercolours, gouache, graphics, ceramics and sculptures. His total oeuvre consists of over 5000 pieces of art. There are a lot of publications from him by radio, TV, newspapers, artmagazines and catalogues. Most of his work found a way to important art-collections all over the world. In 2005 Johann van den Noort was decorated by the Dutch Queen as Knight of the Dutch Lion for his complete works ...

Johann Van Den Noort - Michael Arnold - Art for me is a creative release, therefore I have no boundaries in my work. I work on what moves me spiritually, visually and creatively. I enjoy many different styles including impressionism, pop art, abstract expressionism, naturalism, post-impressionism, art deco and contemporary. All of these styles influence my work, but do not define my style. I primarily work in acrylics, but have produced works in pastels, graphite, charcoal colored pencils and ink. Artists Affiliations 2005 Leadership Citrus 2007 Visual Arts Award-Central Florida Community College Member of Citrus County Chronicle Editorial Board Member of the Citrus Art Center Florida State University Graduate...

Kerry Milligan - Artists Statement I enjoy using a variety of mediums and alternating between abstract, figurative and photography. Each medium gives me the opportunity to experiment with light, color and line variations. My abstract paintings are intuitive, lyrical, expressive compositions - I call them my energy series. With gestural brush strokes Im able to create expressive abstract images that portrays natures energy, movement and light. Recently Ive tried to incorporate poetry into my work. Im inspired by natures endless arrangements of line, color and form - found in gardens, landscapes, astronomy and water scenery. The use of vibrant colors, fractal design, and the study of micro to macro has also influenced my work. Some observers claim to see different forms or images in these paintings that may not be intentionally created. ...
