Tapan Kar - Born in 1954. Tapan Kar is an Indian artist who lives and works in Kolkata. He graduated from the Govt. College of Art and Crafts, Kolkata and pursuaded an MA in Bengali in the University of Calcutta. Tapan's favourite medium of work is Tempera, a less used medium of the present time. The matte finish of tempera gives his works a special dimension which reflects the true meaning of his thought.... and the life....

Anindya Roy - Here you can see a brief about my painting , my bio- data, and some recent paintings.A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO MY RECENT PAINTINGS During the period of training my works were mostly the reflectionof the city life, the aspiration and dreams of the urban middle class living in a molt-cultural and multi-lingual society. Those days I crated the works like ' back to the city', 'nagorik' etc., by mixed media. To develop the concept I have been traveling historical, and culturally significant places and try to conceptualize the togetherness of living and non-living objects and a sense of mystery. Things and particular colour encompassed me, thus my creative mind and feelings is blend. Through I have social, ritual relation with my surroundings, I would like to search there hidden relations of mine in my works. It is known there a relation among the living and non- living beings in nature. I saw a rhythm with the costume, ornaments, happiness, sorrow and habits of the rural people, I is wonderful to me when I inhale those things then, I express my feelings of love through my visual art work. Some times ' composition ' starts from my dream, which leads to ...

Manolo Roldan Humpierres - MANDO It draws, to draw, always to draw...... With pride and much admiration to my teachers, great sketchers Dr Pedro Centeno Vallenilla and Roberto Gonzalez of those who I learned the safe outline in the drawing for the office, movements and color of lemos professor Elisa. With school, investigation and the constant work I arrived at a full mixed technique from textures and plastic possibilities without limits (fabrics, wood, paper, etc) every day with more discoveries and new encounter. In the process the thematic one has been varied, until in the year of 1,9991 the Argentine artist Fragnito Daisy invites to me to work with her in a titled project "Root" for the commemoration of the Discovery of America (500 Years). Of the Patagonia until Alaska, I initiate and "descubro"un to me fascinating world in the different indigenous ethnic groups, colors, faces, forms, customs, symbols, music, dances, expressions, rites and the magician. The Children of the Moon (yanomamis) shemales, (histories) Vasijas, particular collections of pre-Columbian ceramics, mud Gods, utilitarian ceramics, all this and but as inexhaustible source for my work. Beginning with "FRAGILE" in the year of 1.992. Of the pre-Columbian Art la"Venus...

Charles Hanson - Charles Hanson Drawing and Painting since childhood, While in High School participated in a mural project at the United Nations. Participated in shows in New York, New Jersey, California, Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Ivan Kosta - My mission? To give some resemblance of our lives, to touch our fears, concerns, evoke dreams and give hope in time of dispair... ...

Dion Mcinnis - Anyone can take a photograph...push a button. The magic is in the seeing...seeing with all your senses. My work, no matter the subject, comes from seeing with all my senses and then creating to share with others. www.PoetVision.com...

Larsen Lena - At the vanity, chasing the dream that is often just a mirage, tired with stress and permanent search, at the stream of rushing days and years we sometimes stand motionless for a while seeing something beautiful: open flower, spring dusk, the picture that suddenly attracted our attention. It is possible that such abstractions and revelations are the main meaning of art. After all, the artist's brush can really fix the time, place, and mood, and capture for a moment our mind, tossing between past and future, and thus awake our feelings and thoughts......

Beverly Furman - Welcome to my exhibit of works in various media and combinations of techniques that I have developed during 40-plus years of making images. My experience with Drawing, Printmaking, Painting: Oils, Acrylics and Watercolor, as well as Oil Pastel, Colored Pencil, Rubberstamping, Inkjet Transfer, Bookworks and Collage has given me a large visual vocabulary with which to express my particular interests and world-view. My work is a response to my immediate surroundings and life events. The effect of humans on Nature, or vice-versa fascinate me. The subject is sometimes less important to me than the visual and emotional impact of the image. Using the immediate and familiar, I seek to create something I have not seen before. Exploring an expanding variety of two-diminsional media has yielded and ever-widening means of expression. My work spans a range from'realism' to'abstract', with expressionist tendencies. Presently, I am interested in combining life experiences and art techniques into evocative images that express my evolving vision in new ways....

Joseph Mclaughlin - the main feature of my work whether or it is figurative or landscape is always, light. The play of light on any subject changes the mood of the work and how the viewer percieves the narrative contained within the work. I love oils and will build up colours and layers to increase the atmosphere to try to bring the viewer into the work and interpret it in thier own way....

Tatana Kellner - Growing up in communist Czechoslovakia, as the daughter of Holocaust survivors, I learned to mistrust authority and question official doctrines. The current political landscape with the erosion of civil liberties, the misinformation fed to us by our leaders and the manipulation of facts by the media has motivated me to refocus my artistic concerns from exploring my personal history, albeit political, to taking a direct stance on contemporary politics. I use media, especially the newspaper, as my primary source material. The images and text fragments are processed in a way that parallels political maneuvering (deal making). My work is tactile. Layers of inky marks form the images. The inherent messiness references political corruption, loss of innocence, and encapsulates a specific moment in time. History defines us. History haunts us. ...
