  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Sue Johnson - The images presented here are a small sample of art done over the past few years I work in oils, acyrlics, charcoal and pastels. My choice of medium is based on how I feel about my subject matter. I paint or draw whatever attracts me in the moment. Therefore, several themes run through my art --the figure, still life, landscape, and the feminine archetype. I am sustained by my connection to Eastern contemplative practices and from an intuitive sense of connection to the universal spirit of harmony, peace and receptivity. I think this attraction to the mysteries of existence comes through in my art. Please fell free to comment on these works or make a contact if you are interested in seeing more art than that shown on these pages. I will continue to add artwork to this site. Come back soon and see what is new. ...

Yelena Rubin - My goal is create art that bring people joy. I am artist, who paints and sculptured in traditional style with a new interpretive flare. My art is environmentally friendly, energy efficient, and easy to maintain. Creating art offers me a chance to depart from the real world and let my imagination run free. It is what I know. I create art because it is my contribution to society that makes me feel most accomplished. Thank you. I sincerely hope that you enjoy my work as much as I have bringing it to you! ...

Alexander Hinovsi - My art is inspired by different aspects of our lives. It is connected with the nature, living beings, psychology, spirituality, cosmology and certain philosophical views. I am interested in different areas of art, that is why as an artist I try to use different techniques related to it. I am strongly influenced by surrealism, symbolism, post-impressionism, secession. I am also interested in installation art and I already have works on this subject. I mainly work in the field of painting, but sometimes I do graphic and decorative art. For me the art is a ray of light. The light, which we the artists express to share it with the other people. The light, that we realize to express our ideas. What would a persons life look like without art The art makes us feel happy, sad, empathetic. It exalted and recharges us. The art is light, a reflector for man, helping him to move beyond his everyday life, to break this reality into something different, interesting and inspiring. ...

Kay Liebenberg - Art is not merely a process of creation, it is a way to express yourself within society. Art has many forms as well as many interpretations, but they all have one thing in common...each artwork has its own voice and reason for it being created. I am an artist who specialises in creating Mixed Media artworks that have a unique interpretation as well as a 3-dimensional factor that allows it to be interactive. Each artwork that I have created has a different medium that I used for texture as well as for the interactive factor, which is 3-dimensional. I have a passion for art and I would like to share it with the world. ...

Luiz Henrique Azevedo - Luiz Henrique da Rocha Azevedo born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1955 living in Petropolis city their youth; soon developed their fondness for drawing, sustained mainly by comics illustrated by Alex Raymond, Harold (Hal) Foster and Ray Moore. During the year of 1975 this fondness goes to the oil painting where their first works occurred oriented by a lovely old madam, Dona Marina, how he called her in the afternoon of their youth, among occasional colleagues. There will born their figurative painting. But their painting lost its space to professional career for more than 23 years until return to its place. Emerge the necessity to take the old painting case and just work where he feels better. Attended the course of realistic painters (Jose Geraldo Fajardo and Renato Ferrari) where learn and mature their technical skill associated, initially, to Rembrandt and Ruisdaels Flemish school, to Spanish painter Melendez and impressionist esteem . He chase for technical expertise and also for thematic identification that gives to him at the same time a private and plural sense to their works. Isn't an easy task but, in this process, retracting to a state that feels better to him: worried with lines, shadows, ...

Ariadna De Raadt - ItaEURtms always difficult to write about myself. I believe that I do not need many words to describe what I do. On my main page you can see hyperlinks that lead to my photos, paintings, vector illustrations, and a few articles. You can think that it is too many directions for one artist, but in reality everything what I do has a connection to architecture and design of interiors. IaEURtmd like to tell you that St. Petersburg (Leningrad) is my place of birth and it is always in my heart. Now, I live and feel like at home in The Hague (the Netherlands) and it is the most wonderful city in the world. As an artist I specialize in decorative painting. It's a new direction in my creativity, and it gives me a great inspiration since I can utilize new art materials and modern techniques. My last passion is photography. My photos are publishing in different American and European magazines....
