Artists Describing Their Art:

Tatiana Parniakova - Cyanotype has been my creative destination for some time, and now I have arrived. My latest work has departed wholly from the confines of film and camera, and paints a broader, luxurious image in cyan blue and warm hues of archival white. I have carefully cultivated a unique niche in the rarefied Cyanotype medium, a mid-19th-century photographic discipline originally used for practical purposes such as proofing and blueprinting, but revisited periodically by photographic artists seeking an alternative to modern media. My new approach to the old process is original and innovative due to the unexpected reversed 'positive' tonality of the prints and their virtually limitless size. I wanted my cyanotype prints -detailed, delicate, and highly individual - to suffuse a sense of antiquity with a fresh, contemporary edge that is powerful and subtle. My work is decidedly feminine, yet forceful and unyielding as I explore the full bloom and withering of the natural cycles of life. I mix floral arrangements with other, coarser and more provocative elements such as snakeskin and fauna to compose symbolic and engaging oeuvres. Although the symbolism and content of my work expands well beyond localized representation, the unusual clarity of each highly detailed print ...

Charles Hanson - Charles Hanson Drawing and Painting since childhood, While in High School participated in a mural project at the United Nations. Participated in shows in New York, New Jersey, California, Kentucky and Pennsylvania. I actively participate in drawing and painting sessions with Lafayette College Easton Pa. I also organize a painting session on a monthly basis for an Arts Society that I am a board member of....

Anna Miller - I am driven to create by everything I see around me from the smallest flower to the most majestic vista. My camera and my computer are merely extensions of what I see in my mind. With my images I try to share the way I see the world around me and bring a bit of beauty and peace to my audience. To me my work is yoga for the mind, meditation with my eyes open and visual peace for the soul in turbulent world. ...

Anna Miller - Pol Ledent - I am a self-taught artist. I was born in Belgium o, 23rd October 1952. I started painting in 1995 . I took some drawing lessons in the art academy in Dinant. I try to paint the landscapes of the countryside where I am living : the southern part of Belgium. Firts I took part in many collective exhibitions . Than, I had personal exhibitions in Rochehaut (Galerie La Potele), in Dinant (Galerie L'impression), in Paris (Rive Gauche Galerie Artimus) in Brussels (Galerie G-Loft).In 2004, I had three exhibitions, again In Rochehaut, galerie La Potele in May. Then, in September Exhibition Libr'art in Libramont. In November, Galerie Impression in Dinant. What people like most in my paintings are the colours. My art doesn't speak to the intellect but to the soul and to the feelings. Talink the risk to seem old fashioned , I would say it is rather romantic. I wish you much pleasure looking at my paintings. Pol Ledent ...

Yuri Miku - I certainly believe that one doesn't need a diploma to prove someone can do art. I would like to encourage others to keep doing what your doing and be persistent and patient with your goals. Try and try until you succeed. I do custom made original art works. Sylvia Volpi - PHILOSOPHY: To be an artist is to be creative, autonomous, conscious, bold... It is to dare and allow yourself the delirium, reach the imaginary, the fantasy, the pleasure, the beauty ... To wish for the real and to wish for the impossible. It's to open wide, through your work, desires, fights and sorrows in a disclosure. The creative process is the product of the hand , the mind, the imagination and of the work, which is motivated by the search for a conquer: THE CONSTRUCTION OF YOUR OWN SELF. ...

Lynda Lehmann - I have participated in numerous juried shows and had solo shows of my paintings. Ive sold my photography and digital art online, in galleries and other real-time venues, although I am currently marketing my work primarily online. My stock art sells well and Ive sold at least 2400 images in that venue. Life events had steered me away from painting but I am jumping back into that part of my process and hope to have new paintings online within the next few months. OTHER STUFF My painting Bibliophiles Dream has been featured on the cover of the Insights Journal of Austin Seminary. My paining Damariscotta Dream has been used for the cover of Chuck Sweetmans poetry chapbook published by Dream Horse Press. My image Enchanted Forest was used by the Sierra Club in their online feature Daily Ray of Hope. The Yellow Door has been published in Long Islands Canvas Magazine. I was a featured artist at Imagekind in July and have been featured from time to time on my other sites as well.
